Do you believe that you don’t deserve to be slim?

Ever heard the saying ‘If you think you can - you can, if you think you can’t, you’re right!

Sounds silly doesn’t it? but when you think about it, how many times have you already decided the outcome that you think you are going to get and therefore not really put any effort into what you set out to do?

If you believe that you are going to fail - you will - it’s as simple as that.

Decide today what you want to believe.
Decide today that you are healthy and full of life.
Decide today what it is that you really want.
Decide today to believe in yourself.

Once you make this decision it sends a powerful message to your unconscious mind which then aligns your physical actions with this new course.  Its possible that you have not made this decision before because you held on to old beliefs that it is not possible for you to be healthy and lose weight easily, I can assure you that once you make the decision; nothing will stand in the way of you being healthy.

It’s not necessarily your actual experience that affects you, it’s the way you think and feel about the experience that has the biggest impact in your life.  Our experiences are filtered through our five senses which are :

  • Feelings / emotions
  • Touch
  • Sight
  • Taste
  • Sound

Think back to a wonderful experience you have had in the past, a wonderful holiday, a night out with friends anything that makes you feel good the moment you think about it.  How do you feel now that you have recalled that memory? Do you feel happier and more relaxed than you did before?  I’m sure that you do, even if only slightly.

Can you recognise how easily your thoughts effect your feelings?  Think now about the way you think about your body and your health.  If they are negative thoughts they will no doubt create negative feelings, which in turn can spark negative behaviour.

Right now you are probably caught up in a cycle of negative thoughts and feelings about your weight.  What one positive thought can you take today, write down and make a conscious effort to read regularly throughout the day?

Try it for one day and see how much more positive you feel by the time you go to bed.
